Since
its inception in 1979 as South India's first hospital
in the private sector devoted exclusively to caring
for children, the CHILDS TRUST HOSPITAL has been the
birthplace for many dramatic firsts that have improved
paediatric healthcare and saved countless children's
lives.
This
multi disciplinary tertiary hospital, the brainchild of Chennai's
most respected paediatric surgeon, the late Dr. M.S. Ramakrishnan,
was taken over by the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam. A new Board
of Trustees with His Holiness as the Patron was formed and
the hospital was renamed as Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS TRUST HOSPITAL.
