small step taken 25 years back towards caring for our best
natural resource - children, has now branched out into a full-fledged,

Some
of the children who are brought to us need surgery or extensive
medical treatment and their parents are unable to meet the
expenses. We do not wish to turn away any such patient, but
our competitive and reasonable tariff, as befits a non-profit
institution, does not provide adequate margin to cater to
all cases needing free treatment. We are keen to step up the
ratio of patients given free treatment or special concessions
to patients paying standard tariff. |

Replacement
of equipment, in these days of rapid obsolescence, is a recurring
problem. Yet continuous modernization is a must today. |

Our
Corpus fund is not adequate to tide over unforeseen circumstances.
We need to build it up. |
|

We
are about to launch a building project in land opposite our
present premises. The land is now our property, after years
of efforts to regain possession. The new construction is planned
to start in 4-5 months. We need badly and quickly additional
floor space, so that we can take care of all patients seeking
admission, open new departments, provide additional facilities
for doctors, nurses and post-graduate students, and generally
improve our efficiency further. |

Another
plan for speedy implementation is tele-medicine - a project
to provide our expertise in childcare to rural areas for helping
medical practitioners there. |

We
appeal to our viewers to consider a donation whenever possible
for this largest and exclusive hospital for child care in
the private sector. Donors are welcome to specify the utilization
of the donation, e.g. free treatment of poor children, equipment
modernization, neonatology, intensive care unit, corpus fund,
a floor or a wing of the new building, tele-paediatric care,
diagnostics, research and developmental activity. Your donations
would help to sustain our record of high quality medical service
for all children, rich or poor, regardless of caste, creed
religion or nationality. |
